    Mastering Flow - The TameFlow Approach
                           Course Outline for The Training Class

    Description

    In today’s knowledge-based economy, would you like to be the one asking questions or the one being sought after for answers regarding your organisation’s next improvement initiatives?

    The Mastering Flow Class is unique and focuses on the Business imperatives of managing Flow Efficiency for immediate economic benefits on your path to lasting improvements.

    In this class you will discover where all improvement models fail and only add layers of operational costs with no benefits. And the answer is pretty clear: all improvement models ignore the constraints of your systems!

    Except TameFlow, which is an evolution of the Kanban method that embraces Pattern Theory, Dr Eliyahu Goldratt’s Theory of Constraints and Throughput Accounting for knowledge work.

    • Are you an Agile coach, practitioner, manager ?
    • Have you witnessed that all your improvement initiatives have little to show for on the bottom line and would like to understand how to improve with a proven method?
    • Have you been using the Kanban method and plateaued?
    • Are you working hard and failing to deliver on time?
    • Well this course will allow you to tame all of the frictions that slow your processes down, reveal the constraints in your environment and show where to focus improvement efforts to reap monetary benefits today.

    Mastering Throughput - The TameFlow Approach
                            Course Outline for the Training Class

    Description

    In today’s knowledge-based economy, how many of you would like to be to be told what to do or asked what to do?

    How many of you would like to be able to think on their feet or looking around for guidance?

    Contemporaneous Kanban’s focus is entirely on Lead Time where being quick to market is important, but many companies just need more things to be done in less time (rather than faster) and cheaper, which is where improving Throughput comes in.

    This is the business proposition of this course: Thinking on your feet. Fast and crisp decision making to generate Throughput.

    The Mastering Throughput course is unique and focuses on the Business imperatives of generating more cash by increasing capacity at no cost simply by thinking differently about where you should focus your improvement efforts – at the constraint of your value stream!

    This course covers topics not addressed in Agile such as Management by exception, explicit risk management and much more. It is based on managing Throughput in accordance with Dr Eli Goldratt’s Theory of Constraints and Throughput Accounting: two topics that are somewhat omitted in modern age Kanban and DEVOPS.

    Audience

    • Are you a knowledge worker and wondering how to get immediate economic benefits in your working environment?
    • Have you been using the Kanban method and plateaued? There is much more to Kanban than Lead Time!
    • Well this course will introduce you to new Kanban boards and knowledge that will allow you to make more money by generating more Throughput without spending a dime on increasing capacity.

    Certification

    • This course is an official TameFlow Training course, certified by Steve Tendon.
    • At the end of the course, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance worth 14 PDUs.
    • All TameFlow Practitioner certifications do not expire and have no annual obligations, financial or others.

    Learning Objectives

    Upon taking this course, participants should be able to:

    • Understand and apply the Theory of Constraints to generate profits in a knowledge work environment in the service industry;
    • Be able to swiftly identify the constraints in the Work Flow, the Work Process and Work Execution and immediately use the proper TameFlow metrics and boards to achieve the adequate instrumentation;
    • Transform your firm to a Hyper Performing organization by becoming a master at leveraging Productive, Protective and Excess capacity for idleness and the creation of S L A C K;
    • Capitalize on decision making for Project selection using the basics of Throughput Accounting by focusing first of (TH) – Throughput, then (I) – Investments and finally on (OE) – Operating Expenses;
    • Impact culture tomorrow morning with a science-based approach
